In 2010, I wrote a novel, Homegrown Muse. Self-publishing was trending at the time, and e-books were gaining in popularity, so I decided to try self-publishing my new novel. The process was fascinating, I learned an incredible amount, and the book was well-reviewed and appreciated by many readers.
My next venture into self-publishing was in 2019 with Swallowing the Sun, the first volume in a three-book series of historical novels set in the pre-Columbian Southwest, titled Tales of the Watermasters. As of October 2022, Rainbow Knife, the second volume in the series, is also available. Alas, the third book is still only in draft form: please be patient.
For palate cleansers between the research-heavy and emotionally draining Watermaster novels, I'm working on short stories and a light-hearted coming-of-age novel in which newly retired accountant Harold Linkletter moves halfway across the country for his health but finds that retirement poses its own challenges.
